Al via il fermo pesca, Coldiretti: “Stop a pesce da Tirreno e Ionio”
Stop al pesce fresco a tavola per l’avvio del fermo pesca dal 5 settembre che porta al blocco delle attività della flotta italiana dallo Ionio al Tirreno, nel tratto di costa che va da Brindisi, in Puglia, fino a Napoli e Gaeta, in Campania e Lazio, interessando anche Basilicata e Calabria. A darne notizia è Coldiretti Impresapesca.
“Il blocco durerà fino al 4 ottobre e va ad aggiungersi a quello già attivo in tutto l’Adriatico dove le attività verranno riprese in alcuni tratti del litorale solo l’11 settembre. Il fermo cade quest’anno in un momento difficile – denuncia Coldiretti Impresapesca – poiché il blocco dell’attività va a sommarsi al caro carburanti legato alla guerra in Ucraina con il prezzo medio del gasolio per la pesca che è praticamente raddoppiato rispetto allo scorso anno costringendo i pescherecci italiani a navigare in perdita o a tagliare le uscite e favorendo le importazioni di pesce straniero. Non a caso gli arrivi di prodotti ittici dall’estero sono aumentati del 29% in valore nei primi quattro mesi del 2022, secondo un’analisi Coldiretti su dati Istat“.
Coldiretti Impresapesca denuncia che a pesare sono anche “le scelte dell’Unione Europea che hanno portato a una riduzione dell’attività di pesca per un corposo segmento produttivo della flotta peschereccia nazionale a poco più di 120 giorni, pari ad un terzo delle giornate annue, portandola di fatto sotto la soglia della sostenibilità economica“.
Resta poi il problema che anche quest’anno, rileva l’organizzazione, “l‘assetto del fermo pesca 2022 non risponde ancora alle esigenze delle aziende e continua a non rispondere alle esigenze della sostenibilità delle principali specie target della pesca nazionale, tanto che lo stato delle risorse nei 35 anni di fermo pesca, per alcune specie, è progressivamente peggiorato, mentre la Flotta Italia si è ridotta ad appena 12mila unità“.
Nonostante lo stop, sarà comunque possibile trovare prodotto italiano, dal pesce azzurro al pesce spada, le vongole e cozze provenienti dalla barche della piccola pesca e dall’acquacoltura, che assicura anche orate e spigole. Il consiglio è dunque quello di verificare bene le informazioni in etichetta sui banchi di pescherie e supermercati.
