Allarme bombe nei gasdotti del Mediterraneo. Ammiraglio Cavo Dragone: “Navi schierate”
L’esplosione e le perdite di gas dal gasdotto Nord Stream nelle acque del Mar Baltico ha provocato un allarme a livello globale sulla vulnerabilità delle reti subacquee. Anche in Italia l’allerta è molto alta e come annunciato nelle ultime ore è scattato un piano per potenziare la difesa delle reti strategiche che attraversano il Mediterraneo e garantiscono risorse energetiche al nostro Paese.
Ad annunciarlo è stato l’ammiraglio Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, capo di Stato maggiore della Difesa, che intervistato da Repubblica ha dichiarato che la decisione adottata insieme al Ministro della Difesa, Lorenzo Guerini, è stata quella di “aumentare le misure per la tutela delle reti strategiche per l’interesse nazionale, a partire dai tre gasdotti che passano nel Canale di Sicilia“.
I punti chiave delle condotte saranno monitorate da due navi dotate di piccoli sottomarini teleguidati, con a bordo le squadre del Gruppo Operativo Subacquei. Si tratta dei palombari del Comsubin, uno dei reparti incursori più famosi e maestri nel disinnescare ordigni sepolti nei fondali. Il sospetto che circola nei comandi Nato è che le cariche esplose nel Mar Baltico siano state piazzate dalla Russia con largo anticipo, così da rendere più difficile accertare le responsabilità del sabotaggio. Per questo motivo, ci saranno verifiche a campione lungo le infrastrutture che trasferiscono l’energia dal Maghreb verso le coste siciliane. Pochi giorni fa erano state diffuse le nuove linee guida per adeguare le forze armate ai rinnovati scenari bellici. La previsione è infatti che le minacce subacquee nel Canale diventerà ancora più pressante.
