Fincantieri, Giovannini: “Il suo sviluppo è fondamentale per il Paese”
“Fincantieri sta ricevendo l’opportunità di stare al passo con i tempi, con un cantiere che aumenta in capacità, potenzialità e posti di lavoro e che contribuisce alla messa in sicurezza dei rivi nel connubio tra ambiente, produttività e sviluppo”.
Il presidente di Fincantieri Claudio Graziano presenta così il progetto di ribaltamento a mare del cantiere che permetterà di costruire navi di grandi dimensioni (180 mila tonnellate e 350 metri), che permetteranno al cantiere di competere sui mercati internazionali e incrementare di circa una volta e mezzo l’occupazione.
Attualmente il cantiere impiega 900 persone che possono diventare 4 mila nei momenti di punta.
“Il progetto di sviluppo del cantiere per tutta la città, ma direi per il Paese è molto importante – ha detto il ministro per le Infrastrutture e la Mobilità sostenibile, Enrico Giovannini – questo è un progetto in parte finanziato, che consentirà non solo a Fincantieri di produrre navi all’altezza della domanda del mercato, in tempi adeguati, con la creazione di posti di lavoro, ma consentirà anche una riqualificazione attorno a quest’area”. Un progetto ‘trasformativo’ che dovrà, comunque, essere al centro dell’azione del prossimo governo. “La terza fase del progetto implica anche lo spostamento della ferrovia per avere un’unica area produttiva perfettamente integrata – ha ricordato Giovannini – e questo andrà discusso in legge di bilancio dal governo entrante. Noi lasceremo le carte su quello che riteniamo importante nel piano complessivo e poi starà al Parlamento e al governo decidere, spero positivamente, per finanziare questa terza fase”.
