Collegamenti marittimi, ripristinato il tratto Mazara del Vallo-Pantelleria
La società Caronte & Tourist spa, autorizzata dalla Regione Siciliana, ha ripristinato stamani il collegamento marittimo Mazara-Pantelleria e viceversa che era stato attivato lo scorso 22 luglio e sospeso lo scorso 17 agosto.
Il collegamento è ripreso già dalla mezzanotte di ieri, con nave Pietro Novelli che è partita dal porto di Pantelleria giungendo al porto di Mazara alle ore 6,15. Alle ore 9 di stamani la nave è ripartita per Pantelleria. Il collegamento, ufficialmente autorizzato fino al 15 settembre salvo proroghe, prevede pertanto: partenza dal Porto di Pantelleria alla mezzanotte del lunedì e del mercoledì con arrivo al porto di Mazara del Vallo alle ore 6,15 del martedì e giovedì; partenza dal porto di Mazara del Vallo alle ore 9 del martedì e giovedì con arrivo al porto di Pantelleria alle ore 13,30.
Nonostante il ripristino del collegamento sperimentale, le amministrazioni comunali di Mazara del Vallo e Pantelleria non mutano la propria presa di posizione espressa dai sindaci Quinci e Campo con la richiesta esplicita che il collegamento diventi stabile. “E’ assolutamente necessario – hanno sottolineato i due primi cittadini – che l’assessorato alle Infrastrutture regionale proceda con urgenza al bando di gara per l’affidamento definitivo del servizio della tratta. Non è più accettabile questa formula ‘sperimentale’. La gara per l’affidamento pluriennale della tratta è l’unica via risolutiva e necessaria, a garanzia di svolgimento del collegamento e che darà anche la possibilità di programmare, promuovere, organizzare i servizi annessi con largo anticipo. Soprattutto impedirà – hanno aggiunto – che la tratta possa essere oggetto di continue sospensioni da un momento all’altro senza che le due amministrazioni comunali possano fare nulla”.
