Convegno a Scoglitti sulla pesca: il focus sui mari del sud est della Sicilia
Si terrà il prossimo sabato, 8 ottobre, nella sede dell’Associazione Pescatori San Francesco di Scoglitti presso via Catania 20, il convegno sul tema “La pesca nel sud est della Sicilia: sostenibilità e criticità”.
L’incontro, che prenderà il via alle 17.30, rientra nel programma delle iniziative di promozione del pescato locale facenti parte del progetto “Street & Truck Food Festival” sostenuto dal Dipartimento Regionale Pesca Mediterranea della Sicilia e giunto alla sua quarta edizione. Ad attuare il progetto, finanziato dal Dipartimento della Pesca con i fondi del PO FEAMP 2014-2020 mis. 5.68 cod. progetto 12/MCO/22, è l’Associazione Pescatori “San Francesco” di Scoglitti.
Sarà un’occasione per poter fare un focus sulle opportunità e sulle criticità della pesca nel sud est della Sicilia, fonte di reddito per numerose famiglie, tra sostenibilità e sfruttamento delle risorse, un tema che da decenni è al centro degli studi dei ricercatori e di discussioni del mondo politico. Lo si farà alla presenza degli amministratori dei comuni di Vittoria, Licata, Gela, Acate, Comiso, Santa Croce Camerina, Ragusa, Scicli, Pozzallo, Ispica e del Libero Consorzio Comunale di Ragusa Prevista la partecipazione della deputazione regionale ragusana, dei rappresentanti del Dipartimento Regionale della Pesca Mediterranea, della Guardia Costiera, di Slow Food Sicilia, Slow Food Ragusa, dell’Università degli Studi di Catania, della Stazione Zoologica Anton Dorhn, del Museo di Storia Naturale di Comiso, del CNA di Vittoria, dell’Associazione Trofeo del Mare, dell’Istituto Comprensivo “L. Sciascia” di Scoglitti, dell’Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “Marconi” di Vittoria, dell’Istituto Superiore Alberghiero Gesualdo Bufalino di Comiso, della ProLoco di Vittoria, e del WWF Sicilia che, tra l’altro per l’occasione, organizzerà un point per la raccolta fondi da destinare alla realizzazione di “Urban Nature 2022- progetto aule natura negli ospedali pediatrici”.
Al termine del convegno presso il mercato del pesce è prevista una degustazione di prodotto ittico in abbinamento ad alcuni vini del Consorzio di tutela Cerasuolo di Vittoria Docg e Vittoria Doc.
Ad arricchire la serata, presso la chiesa San Francesco di Paola, la mostra d’arte presepiale “Presepe d’aMare” promossa dall’associazione l’Arco di Vittoria, e la mostra di ceramiche, attrezzi da pesca presso il faro di Scoglitti.
