Dal MIPAAF stop alla pesca del gambero rosso: “A rischio biodiversità e sostenibilità economica”
“Dobbiamo salvaguardare la biodiversità e la sostenibilità economica delle nostre imprese ittiche, dilazionando con oculatezza le giornate massime di pesca e le relative quote. Il modello attuale va rivisto per tutelare un comparto, come quello della pesca del gambero rosso, che in Campania, Sicilia e Liguria produce lavoro e redditività per l’intera filiera, grazie ad una delle eccellenze dei nostri mari più apprezzate sulle tavole nazionali e internazionali“. E’ quanto chiede al Governo l’assessore all’Agricoltura e alla Pesca della Regione Campania, Nicola Caputo, dopo la notizia della chiusura della pesca del gambero rosso nel Tirreno e Mar Ligure.
“È stata raggiunta la quota del 95% di cattura massima assegnata all’Italia per il gambero rosso – conclude l’assessore- ma ora è necessario definire un nuovo sistema di regole per garantire, per tutta la stagione, un equilibrato modello di pesca nei diversi ambiti per le barche superiori ai 24 metri“.
Il MIPAAF (D.G. Pesca) ha annunciato la chiusura immediata delle attività di pesca degli esemplari di crostacei della specie Aristaeomorpha foliacea o gambero rosso (ARS) – nelle GSA 8, 9, 10 e 11 – per tutte le unità operanti con reti a strascico inserite nella lista delle unità autorizzate, indipendentemente dalla Lunghezza Fuori Tutta (L.F.T.). Le unità che effettuano la pesca bersaglio e la cattura accessoria dei gamberi di profondità devono limitare le attività esclusivamente alla specie Aristeus antennatus o gambero viola (ARA).
