Dati positivi per i trasporti nel 2022: aumentano merci e passeggeri
Ottimi risultati per i traffici in mare nel 2022 in Italia. Nel primo semestre sono infatti 244.039.383 le tonnellate di merci trasportate, ben il +5,1% in più rispetto ai dati relativi allo stesso periodo del 2021 e +2,7% rispetto al 2019.
I dati, diffusi da Assoporti, sono infatti molto incoraggianti ma evidenziano come ancora si fatichi a raggiungere i numeri pre-covid. E’ evidente nel traffico passeggeri: i crocieristi sono 2.451.629 unità (+702,5%) e un totale di 20.390.278 passeggeri (+75,8%), ma rispetto al 2019 sono in calo del 14,8% e i crocieristi del 45,8%.
“Il primo semestre di quest’anno conferma la ripresa complessiva dei porti italiani, che continuano a registrare performance positive. Ciò nonostante il contesto economico già indebolito dalla pandemia e divenuto molto complicato per effetto della guerra, dell’inflazione incalzante e dei crescenti costi energetici che stanno mettendo sotto pressione il sistema produttivo italiano“. Così il Presidente di Assoporti, Rodolfo Giampieri, commentando i dati del primo semestre 2022. “I risultati raggiunti confermano, nonostante le difficoltà legate al contesto mondiale, che i nostri porti ‘non si fermano’, continuando a sostenere le esigenze del territorio, delle sue imprese e dei suoi consumi“, ha aggiunto Giampieri.
Tuttavia, “se dal punto di vista delle merci i traffici “sono ripresi in modo sostenuto, permangono le criticità legate al settore passeggeri, in particolar modo alle crociere“, fa presente Assoporti. “Il Mediterraneo è tornato ad avere un ruolo centrale e strategico per i traffici mondiali, grazie a forti segnali di regionalizzazione della produzione. Ma per cogliere quest’opportunità le risposte devono essere date rapidamente all’interno di una strategia condivisa. Credo che adesso sia indispensabile mettere in atto al più presto le necessarie opere che consentiranno ai nostri porti di aumentare il livello di competitività, nonché ad essere in linea con le previsioni in materia ambientale. In questo contesto, la semplificazione normativa va ulteriormente rafforzata” ha concluso Giampieri.
