Messina, “Mare senza barriere architettoniche” a Barcellona, Brolo e Letojanni
“Vogliamo dare la possibilità di andare al mare a tutti, anche a chi ha maggiori difficoltà perché diversamente abile, proseguendo in un percorso virtuoso iniziato ormai da alcuni anni, per garantire sempre maggiori e migliori servizi ed incrementare politiche di inclusione sociale”. A dirlo il commissario dell’Asp di Messina Bernardo Alagna, in merito alla terza edizione dell’iniziativa “Mare senza Frontiere 3.0: accessibilità a tutti”, organizzata dell’Asp, in collaborazione con i comuni di Brolo, Letojanni e Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, da oggi 26 luglio fino al 31 agosto.
L’attività è prevista da martedì alla domenica, mattina e pomeriggio, dalle 9.00-12.00 e dalle 16.00-19.00. “Il progetto – spiega Alagna – è destinato destinato a persone in condizione di disabilità in modo che possano accedere, senza barriere architettoniche in spiaggia. Gli spazi adibiti serviranno per accogliere, sostenere e soddisfare i bisogni speciali e dunque contrastare gli ostacoli che impediscono la regolare fruizione degli arenili.
L’evento quest’anno vedrà protagonisti i Comuni di Brolo, Letojanni e Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, nel messinese, che hanno sottoscritto un protocollo con l’Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale di Messina. Il progetto mira alla fruizione di percorsi funzionali che permetteranno l’arrivo delle persone in condizioni di disabilità in spiaggia, grazie a sedie job, e il posizionamento nei pressi degli ombrelloni nell’area predisposta, con l’aiuto di operatori socio sanitari dell’Asp e la collaborazione di personale e bagnini dei comuni e operatori di associazioni che si occupano del sociale. Tutti saranno dotati di attrezzature atte a garantire migliori spostamenti.
“A Brolo – spiegano l’assessore ai servizi sociali Tina Fioravanti e Adriana Gaglio responsabile del Comune ai servizi sociali – il progetto prevede lo svolgimento di attività di assistenza socio sanitaria per la durata di 39 giorni, con la presenza di operatori socio sanitari in una postazione individuata dal Comune di Brolo, e l’associazione Orizzonte che fornirà il personale specializzato. Questa iniziativa si integra con i servizi che già il Comune di Brolo offre gratuitamente con la predisposizione di una spiaggia attrezzata, con la dotazione di sedie job, gazebo, pedane, lettini, spogliatoi, giochi inclusivi e tutto il necessario per favorire la movimentazione, l’accesso al mare e la permanenza in spiaggia dei soggetti con disabilità o fragilità.
Con la sottoscrizione di questo accordo con l’Asp viene dato un valore aggiunto ad un’area attrezzata molto gradevole che è già apprezzata dai cittadini e da tante associazioni del comprensorio che spesso si recano in quest’area.
Il tema dell’accoglienza è molto sentito anche dal comune di Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto come spiega l’assessore ai servizi sociali Roberto Molino: tale attività è disponibile in un tratto di spiaggia in località Spinesante, dotato di attrezzature e personale di supporto. Il servizio prevede servizi e strutture e servizi fruibili per tutta la durata dell’iniziativa. E’ una lodevole attività per i diversamente abili che mette insieme l’ Asp e alcuni comuni, per un’azione sinergica per abbattere le barriere fisiche e culturali”.
Anche il Comune di Letojanni si è attivato da tempo come spiega Mariateresa Rammi assessore alle politiche sociali: “Saremo partner dell’Asp di Messina in questo progetto volto all’inclusività e accessibilità delle spiaggia. L’attività sarà predisposta nel tratto di spiaggia centrale del paese, che va dal torrente Mazzeo al campo sportivo. Abbiamo previsto un servizio di vigilanza dei bagnini che si alterneranno su tre torrette. Lo scorso anno scorso anno abbiamo acquistato già delle sedie job, molto utili per lo spostamento dei diversamente abili. Siamo particolarmente felici di poter garantire ai nostri cittadini diversamente abili e ai turisti questo tipo di servizio abbattendo le barriere architettoniche come già abbiamo fatto nei palazzi pubblici. Essendo un comune turistico, il nostro obiettivo è garantire maggiore fruibilità e migliori servizi anche sulla battigia per un turismo accessibile. Nelle postazioni di vigilanza delle spiagge comunali i bagnini saranno affiancati da personale qualificato OSS per consentire una maggiore fruibilità delle spiagge e del mare”.
