Lo afferma l’assessore regionale Marco Falcone, a proposito dei trasporti via nave e via aereo fra la Sicilia e l’isola di Pantelleria.«Confidiamo, inoltre, che il vicesindaco Maurizio Caldo possa prendere migliori informazioni anche per quanto riguarda i collegamenti marittimi sostenuti dalla Regione: la nave Mazara-Pantelleria, dopo decenni di nulla, era stata da noi ripristinata nel luglio 2021 in via sperimentale e quest’anno, malgrado alcune problematiche tecniche, il Governo Musumeci è riuscito a confermare e avviare questo servizio strategico nel cuore del Mediterraneo. Purtroppo – conclude Falcone – dobbiamo credere che il vicesindaco abbia ceduto alle sirene della campagna elettorale, a scapito della realtà dei fatti».
