Palermo, Monti (AdSP): “Oltre 600 mila crocieristi nel 2022”
“Abbiamo numeri in crescita: Palermo chiuderà il 2022 con oltre 600 mila crocieristi. Se le navi viaggiassero a pieno carico, e ancora non succede, avremmo superato il milione. Siamo, dunque, molto soddisfatti”, è il commento del presidente dell’Autorità di Sistema portuale del Mare di Sicilia occidentale, Pasqualino Monti.
“La Sicilia piace, la gente vuole visitarla ma per gli armatori è stata fondamentale la riqualificazione dei nostri scali. Dal primo ottobre, inoltre, sarà operativo il Palermo Cruise Terminal, inaugurato lo scorso maggio e consegnato alla West Sicily Gate – prosegue -. La società – che per trent’anni gestirà tutti i terminal dei porti che ricadono sotto la giurisdizione dell’AdSP – sta apportando alcune modifiche alla struttura e provvedendo agli arredi, agli allestimenti e alle misure di security, interventi propedeutici alla completa funzionalità del terminal”.
