Pnrr, dal Mims 4 miliardi per le infrastrutture idriche
Ammontano a 3,9 miliardi di euro gli investimenti nelle infrastrutture idriche definiti negli ultimi 19 mesi, di cui 2,9 miliardi del Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza.
“La scelta di destinare quasi 4 miliardi di euro, di cui il 60% per le regioni del Mezzogiorno, a interventi sulle infrastrutture idriche, per renderle efficienti, sicure e resilienti ai cambiamenti climatici, dimostra quanto il tema sia stato centrale nell’azione del Mims“, afferma il ministro delle Infrastrutture e della Mobilità Sostenibili, Enrico Giovannini, presentando il rapporto “Gli investimenti e le riforme Pnrr per le infrastrutture idriche”.
Giovannini, fa anche un appello al nuovo governo a continuare gli investimenti nel settore. “Il Paese ha scoperto quest’anno, per l’ennesima, volta il tema della siccità e ha alzato tutte le antenne su un fenomeno che, non solo si è già verificato in passato, ma purtroppo, in assenza di interventi adeguati, è destinato a riprodursi più frequentemente perché la crisi climatica è già con noi”.
Il ministro sottolinea lo “straordinario sforzo finanziario” fatto, di quasi 4 miliardi, e accompagnato dalla riforma della governance del settore perché “la situazione era decisamente insoddisfacente“. Ma, conclude Giovannini, “la strada è ancora lunga perché c’è ancora un ampio gap di risorse che vanno investite, nei prossimi anni, in questo settore. L’invito è che il nuovo parlamento e il nuovo governo continuino nell’opera che è fondamentale, per assicurare non solo il benessere delle persone ma anche il funzionamento del sistema economico in vista della crisi climatica“.
