Trapani, inaugurato un nuovo spazio per diversamente abili in riva al mare
Inaugurato nel pomeriggio di oggi un nuovo spazio per diversamente abili lungo il litorale di San Giuliano, volto a garantire l’accesso al mare ad ipovedenti e persone con ridotta capacità motoria, in sinergia tra i comuni di Trapani ed Erice. Alla cerimonia particolarmente partecipata, hanno presenziato il sindaco Tranchida, il consigliere Virzì, il consulente del sindaco già assessore avv. Safina ed i rappresentanti della Trapani Servizi, adoperatisi materialmente nel montare il gazebo.
«La disabilità non può dividere ma deve unire gli sforzi, le azioni ed i protagonisti delle città dei CambiaMenti ed è per questo che da diversi anni cerchiamo di adoperarci in tal senso, tanto nell’abbattere le barriere architettoniche quanto quelle culturali che hanno portato anche egoisticamente alcuni speculatori da tastiera ad alimentare polemiche soventi inutili e strumentali sui lavori per i nuovi passaggi pedonali per ipovedenti e soggetti deboli in via Fardella, atti a frenare al pari le pericolosissime corse dei delinquenti motorizzati e non solo – ha dichiarato il sindaco Tranchida -. I comuni di Trapani ed Erice hanno lavorato insieme per giungere all’odierno traguardo, sollecitati da numerosi cittadini desiderosi di accedere al mare in sicurezza. Grazie alle associazioni che si adopereranno nell’aiutare chi vorrà godersi il mare in libertà, con appositi strumenti messi a disposizione con la collaborazione dei volontari e del vicino Lido Smile».
