Trasporti marittimi, Federalberghi: “Estendere tratta Palermo-Eolie”
Federalberghi Isole Eolie esprime forti perplessità per la presa di posizione della Associazione Italia Nostra in relazione al “ripristino” della tratta Cefalù-Eolie.
“Si tratterebbe di una tratta che potrebbe, come di fatto avviene con le minicrociere, essere operata in regime di libero cabotaggio e per la quale non andrebbero impiegate risorse pubbliche”, spiega il presidente Christian Del Bono.
Appare, inoltre, inopportuna e intempestiva la richiesta del Presidente di Italia Nostra, Edoardo Croci, che si aspetta una risposta prima delle prossime elezioni. Mentre il delegato per la sezione Eolie, Angelo Sidoti, ritiene che tale integrazione consentirebbe di ampliare ed incrementare l’offerta turistica nel territorio delle Eolie “senza per altro sacrificare le miglia già destinate ad altre tratte”.
Del Bono rammenta che il bando per i collegamenti marittimi integrativi della Regione Siciliana nasce con l’obiettivo di garantire un servizio alle isole minori, evidenziando come il drenaggio (inevitabile) di miglia e di risorse da altre tratte fondamentali per l’arcipelago, significherebbe impoverirne il grado di mobilità e di accessibilità per favorire mete della terra ferma non gravate dai disagi dell’insularità. Questa posizione è stata, per altro, condivisa formalmente in passato anche con altre Associazioni e Amministrazioni sin dalle fasi di consultazione pre-bando.
In definitiva, Federalberghi Isole Eolie non è contraria ad un’estensione della tratta Palermo – Eolie con scalo a Cefalù purché le extra miglia impiegate non comportino un maggiore onere per la Regione Siciliana a discapito di altre tratte strategicamente più rilevanti per l’arcipelago.
